Hiking, Cycling and Birding Tours
South Africa is proud to be home to no less than ten UNESCO World Heritage Sites and our itineraries include destinations such as the Cape Floral Region, Mapungubwe in northern Limpopo, iSimangaliso Wetland Park in Natal and the breathtaking Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park!
Our hiking tours also include one of a kind experiences such as pony trekking in the mountains of Lesotho. Be carried by one of the gentle Basotho ponies or opt to hike behind them. This 2 day trail takes hikers deep into the mountains with a sleepout in a remote camp.
Our fully qualified hiking, cycling & birding guides have in-depth knowledge of the local fauna and flora in all of the areas.
Self-drive & Camping Group Tours
We have recently introduced self-drive group tours with couples or families driving in their own rental vehicle in a convoy, led by an experienced guide. This allows guests who prefer to be part of a group tour, to see parts of the country, not normally covered on normal group tour itineraries, due to vehicle access restrictions.
We have combined these tours with camping in certain areas such as the Kruger National Park and Kosi Bay in Northern Natal, allowing guests to experience a truly unique African adventure!
We also offer camping on coach tours. These tours stay on the main tourist routes and include camping in specific areas, whilst the rest of the accommodation is in lodges or hotels. This is a great way to include variety and adventure in a tour, and more specifically a family tour!
